Gmail

Yeah doesn't seem like an April joke...and if it is I wonder why big newssites like CNN.COM and BBC.COM are just taking this over, those sites have anof people who would check sources et cetera....

I don't think it's a lie. Google is big enought to do this. From what i know it costs them around 3$/GB month. They can quickly cover up the costs using Adsense.

I'm guessing that google initially will give you a small quota and then slowly increase it as neccesary, maving people around servers if they get too big. Surely they're not stupid enough to give full 1GB quotas from the start...

i mailed them since i get to know this and this is what i get

1 gig for privacy, a trade off in the corners if you don't look too careful, nonetheless, google hasn't stop amazing me with its surprises...

So? How do you think Yahoo Spam Filter works? Or Hotmail's Spam Filter? Or even your HOSTS spam filter? It has to *read* your emails. Google just took it a tad farther and will provide ads that share the interest of your e-mails.

But my question is, what if I get a lot of viagara spam mail, will all the ads display viagara links for me??

Viagra.

Anyway, if they index it for the public to see, it's not that good.

I don't think they will index it for the public, probably just for you account.
Velton they have a thing where you add your email, and they will announce you when it starts.
