How do you make money with Adsense?

Hi,

Sorry I'm new around here. I am curious, how do you guys make a few bucks with Adsense? I run a game server and I put ads on its forums. We just started a few weeks ago, and Google Adsense earning is like .... less than $1.00;

So I'm curious, how do you guys even make the payout amount?

First off, more traffic = more clicks.

Second off, ads on forums do not have a high cpm. People on forums are usually very net savvy and used to seeing ads and ignore them. Try different ad formats that are not the normal sizes people see.. they convert better.

But bottom line is you need a lot of traffic for PPC ads to make money. Even at $1 CPM you would only make a dollare per 1000 ad impressions. So to make money, you need more impressions.
 
If you understand how AdSense works, you will see that it's a win-win situation for everyone involved, and the bottom line benefits Google. Since the advertiser's ads are now being displayed on more web sites all over the internet (instead of just Google's site), they are getting much more exposure. More exposure means more clicks and even more traffic for their site over a shorter period of time.

This is good news for Google because the more traffic the advertisers receive, the faster their advertising funds are used up.

Remember, they get charged every time their site gets a visit; and of course, it is Google's hope that they'll continue to keep funneling more money into their account for more ad exposure.
 
First thing is traffic. How can you get click if there is no traffic for your site. Then you must also concern on put your adsense code not look like advertising and try offer good content to people
 
I suppose first of all you need to do your best and have well visited web site with you and then place there relevant ads. If you have targeted audience there I'm certain you will earn on it
 
many people say you need a lot of traffic but they forgot to mention that the quality of the traffic (aka from which country your major traffic is coming from) is a very very important.

Increase the traffic to your website, then start to test different advertising sizes and types, and place your ads at strategic places, till you different the best ads that have top click through rate.
 
Is there anyway to choose what categories of ads run on your site? Cause right now there's weird advertisements that don't even target my audience...

Not really, if you just signed up and your pages haven't been spidered, you may get a lot of off topic ads. Also, you can add the non-relevent ads to your competitive ad filter in adsense control panel to block them from showing. Google will decide what ads to run on your site by the content and keywords it spiders, so use good keywords and content, you will get good ads.
 
How do you make money with Adsense

Maybe its time for us to come up with an article of some sort - introducing forum owners how to make money from their community. Well, Ill list a few advertising companies that forum owners use to generate revenue.

Adsense:
This is by far one of the most popular advertising companies online today - its eCPM usually sucks for forums, but if youre generating enough traffic on a daily basis, then you should be fine. Forums are known to have low CTR click through rates.

Kontera & Vibrant Media:
Both companies are similar - but Kontera accepts small sites and big sites - where Vibrant media wants the bigger sites, and publishers report higher earnings with VM because its a lot older than Kontera. Both companies highlight certain keywords in text.

CPM Companies: Valueclick, Casalemedia, etc:
CPM cost per impression are companies that love sites & forums that generate a ton of pageviews on a daily basis. Valueclick doesnt accept forum sites anymore, but Im sure the others might.

How do you make money with Adsense

Ive been thinking of putting some ads on my site, and using Adsense. How much money can you realistically make? When they say "place adds in the RSS feeds," what do they mean by that? Thanks
 
my best work with adsense is when I put high keywords content on my blog, I was use paid service keyword suggestion from keyword country, not means promotion, but with data of high paying keywords and $49 per mo, I can restructure my blog or autoblog with it
