---- me I want to see iron man

the only thing i think that would make it better, even though i havent seen it yet, is, not using Robert Downy Jr. should have been someone else. just doesnt seem like the super hero type of guy really.

I thought quite the opposite. I believe that Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect Iron Man. He might not be the superhero type, but he was perfect a-shole type rich guy that Stark was made out to be. I mean, Tobey Maguire doesn't really seem like the superhero type (to me, at least) and he makes a perfect Spider-man.

Couldn't disagree more. I can't think of anyone that would have played this part better than Robert Downy, Jr.

Just saw it last night A++.

I say the opinions of those who have actually seen the movie have more relevance than those who haven't.

OMG! I just got back from seeing it. awesome move! The only problem in the movie is that they had the Air Force pulling security for Stark when it should have been the Army... Then again, it wouldn't be much of a movie because they would have never captured him. -- not a spoiler -- you can see that all in the movie trailer.

Air Force is correct. A lot of his work would have been used by the Air Force, so it's a technicality but it's not wrong. From what I understand, the Air Force gets used a lot more for escorting and protection than the army - at least in Hollywood anyway.

So true in the movie world... Actually, it probably would have been civilian contractors to do the escorting using Army gun trucks for protection. At least thats how they do it in Iraq, I've never been to Afghanistan so I wouldn't know how they do it there.

Well I would think since the primary client there is the US Army/Air Force it wouldn't be civilian, it would be the client..the movie works though..so why question the technicality? It's not really a loophole.

oh, don't get me wrong it worked for the move. I was just hinting that the Army would have done a better job being that I'm in the Army :), but no one know knew that so it was a missed joke.

The character of Iron Man is actually loosely based on Al Gore.

Haven't seen it yet. I definitely want to. Although I would say I prefer some movies over others, even if it is not all that great I may still enjoy watching it. If you cant see this movie with someone maybe you should just go see it. If you agree its reasonable their will be other movies worth seeing in the future then you may get your chance to see it. At least in the meantime this one will not be completely missed.
