I would like to hear your opinions on what if the most important factor for you when choosing a hosting company.

When choosing a hosting provider you would have to think about the prices they offer, and support. Customer support in the web hosting industry is crucial. Security factor is also very important. This applies both to software security and physical safety for data centers. And definitely make sure that your product requirements are met through the packages offered.

For good measure always read customer reviews before making the decision.

Depends on what you’re looking for in your cloud solution. Private cloud works best for organization with high security concerns, whereas public cloud can be good option for those with not very high requirements. Both the cloud solutions have their own advantages to offer, but first set your own priorities and then make a decision.

The factors for choosing a web hosting are :-
1. The Hardware resources used by the host.
2. The years of experience the host has in the business.
3. The provision of SSL Certificate.
4. The average Uptime time.
5. The default security protocol used
6. And most important : The support service.

Most of the points have been covered, however, you can also check their Phone Support, check their terms of use along with the money back gurantee, server upgrade options, their customer reviews on review sites.
 
In the year 2020 there are many hosting companies around.

What we would suggest you to check is :

1) Support (It's important in case your website has issues or the server is down where your website is hosted)
2) Uptime (In SEO, up time matters)
3) Disk used by hosting provider (If hosting uses SSD, your website loading time will be low)
4) Free SSL (Your website will not Rank if you don't use SSL. Its also a ranking factor in 2020)
5) Backups (Hosting provider should take at least monthly backups)
6) Security (To block common attacks, server should have Firewalls)
7) DDoS protection (Its good if your hosting provider has it but its optional)
8) Server location (Server should be near to your target country or within it)

A few points are optional but should be considered if you want a fast loading website because everyone loves Fast websites.

Reliable and available support through a smoothly functioning ticket system that responds well within 24 hours but preferably is very little used because everything is functioning 100%. Ticket system has to be manned by empowered tech specialists with the power to make changes at an Admin level instead of sales people serving technical issues who waste time with lack of understanding problems and don't have the power to act decisively. Location has to be compatible with my ISP. So host has to have a test IP so I can check it out first. Latency is important - hand in hand with speed. Then of course reliability and uptime. I have to have my own panel for managing a VPS or if it is shared hosting cPanel or something as efficient as cPanel. The panel should be comprehensive so there is little or no need to ever open a ticket request. When I check out the host I usually check reviews. When I find no reviews, I go for the next host. Security is important but I find that some hosts are so security trigger happy that firewall issues make it almost impossible to survive in the service. Also they may pride themselves in all the security scripts they have employed on their server, however have a poor understanding of the scrips resulting in plenty of conflicts with software and also with clients when false positives occur. I usually aim for smaller conservative hosts, who have been around for a very long time. Larger ones give the experience of production line and when there are issues it's not that easy to get reliable Admin and qualified technicians to attend to inquiries.
