Non-illegal sites that get loads of hits?

Is it possible to bring in loads of traffic to a site that isn't illegal or questionable (warez, emu, porn, mp3 etc.)
I'm thinking an anime site might be the way to go. Anyone here has an anime site getting over 4 million page views per month?
 
I have an emu site that gets 4 million page views a month but the problem with it is that it can't get into a premium CPM network like Burst or FastClick, so my ad revenue is pretty disappointing for the volume of traffic.
 
it just pisses me off. You could et me going on a multi page rant about it, but i'll stop myself now.

i've seen a few anime movies but they aren't anything special, just ultraviolent cartoons. and whats up with the rape themes? i really don't want to see monsters raping little girls in my movies.
 
I also agree, anime is gay and stupid.

A non-illegal site that gets a lot of hits right now is any news site, since Tuesday of last week.
 
Go find a page that has the top hundred search terms or something. Then make a site like that. And make the enter link go to clickheretofind.com . Works for me! I have people coming in from the 400th page of search engine results for Pokemon coming to my "site". And I also have a "free game downloads site". Same thing here. And I have a search box (searchtraffic.com), and popuptraffic.com pop-ups and pop-unders on each page too. Then do mad search engine submission, and other kind of promotion, and make your self a good penny doing something completely legal. I don't a whole lotta hits on those sites, but in 1 week just from allclicks.com, I have got about $10. Plus pop up revenue, plus the searchbox revenue. Now, if I make about 50 more of these sites, and use and save search engine submittal details in a program like Page Submit, I could make a lot of money. Every one wins!!! The ad company(SI), your free isp(if they have ads), the sites those ads are for, and most importantly, you!!! The end user is screwed, but the deserve it if it's some kid looking for pokemon.

I feel bad for you, because you saw the worst anime can go.

You all say anime is gay because you don't understand it.

An emulation site is not the same as a ROM site. Emu sites are actually legal, while ROM sites aren't. The ROMs are illegal, not the emulators.

That is true, but emulators and roms usually go together.
 
Roms are legal if you have the orginal cartridge at your house...But damn Is nintendo really gonna lose tons of money for Japanese Translated games that they dont make anymore...Nintendo thinks so. I don't.

How's anyone supposed to know you posses the actual cartridge?

They call that "a backup copy" of the game, don't they? :rolleyes: Nice excuse. I read in the newspaper that MP3s are perfectly illegal as long as you delete it immediately after you's finished listening to it. If you want to listen again, you'll have to download again.

I say: Bullshit.
 
For everyone who says that having a backup copy of a Nintendo cartridge is legal, here's new: It isn't.

Read the back of any Game Boy cartridge. It states that you can't create backup copies.
