I just moved to a Singapore-based server for my little site, and I was wondering if you could help me test the speed?

Go here: http://www.getsmilies.com/

and tell me how long it takes to load.

Then, can you download this 10MB blank block: http://www.wynhost.com/test.zip

and tell me what's the avg speed/sec?

Please tell me whether you think it's fast/decent/slow and what connection you're on and where are you from...

On that test.zip, I get 19 KB/S. I normally get 250-300.

I consider this slow, but seeing I connect from across the world, it's slow. However, you have to take into account who your visitors are .. are they mainly on the U.S. side or your side?

Btw, getsmiles.com loaded ok. not too fast.. not too slow.
 
oo, that's not very good I guess. I might switch back to the American server, but I used the SG server for faster uploading speeds.
 
HTML is normal/reasonable, but images took a bit longer than was probably neccesary. Verizon east coast (old GTE territory) dialup.

Im only getting 19kb/sec where I normally get around 100-150kb.

Site was about 15 seconds... something took a while to load, dont know what. Maybe one of the affiliate buttons?
