Why would people need to test images? The only reason they might test an image is to see what their avatar looks like in a post and you don't need image tags for that

it is also fun to post silly images and animations. can we have it back. this is the only section of the forum we are able to post pics in anyways. (well, we were able to)

I've done it a few times, to check if php scripts which output images can be viewed, and to check if an image is the right size before posting it elsewhere.
