Too bad neither of them are Skype compatible. Plus, won't KDE Programs run a bit strange on a GNOME Desktop? I've had some KDE Programs crash on me before.

Too bad neither of them are Skype compatible. Plus, won't KDE Programs run a bit strange on a GNOME Desktop? I've had some KDE Programs crash on me before.
I never had any problems with Kopete on a Gnome desktop. But I perfer the KDE desktop anyway.
The KDE desktop just felt cleaner to me. The Gnome desktop was kinda drab. I know you can customize it to brighten it up, but KDE needed less customization to get it how I wanted it. That and I perferred many of the progams installed as default with KDE, KBear and Kopete namely.
Beryl is the only real customization tool you need in the case of Gnome (Plus, it makes it possible to go up to four workspaces rather than two.)
I like Gnome because it resembles both Windows AND MACOS.
