Well, I saw this webhost and wanna see if you guys think it is true. The main thing is it gives you 50 megs of space and unlimited bandwidth......

they often delete your site for no reason at all & then email you saying you broke copyright infringment!
i dont recommend them!
plus they keep ur site & ur site files!
 
Yeah, that's been discussed on here many times before.
Users having their accounts revoked for supposed "Copyrigth Infringements"
Myself, and others ahd accoutns removed for that, before they had even been accessed.
Their support is also terrible and the 404 pages are adult oriented popups. :rolleyes:
I don't suggest going with them.
 
I havent had any problems with web1000 before. When they cancell your account for copyright infringement, you are ususally infringing copyrights. Makes sence.
 
Gayowulf, you are incorrect.
Myself and others have signed up, received our confirmation email, not even accessed our accounts, and then recieve the copyright infringement notice.
How can you infringe on copyrights if you haven't even logged into your account yet?

plus they give you a nice yabbe gold board if u want it all setup,fast ftp and page loads. i dont get the adult 404 errors i think it was because when u sign up make sure it general,or personal i think
 
I registered WEB1000.com and i uploaded my webpage before some days.
Most times someone tries to access my webpage a 404 error appear.
In the registration process I read that this service earns its money from these 404 errors that why it show no advertinsing in your page. ( the times that works ):)
I do not recommend this free host.

I haven't had any trouble with web1000.com. I have used them for 4 old web sites and none of my sites have ever been deleted. In fact, some of them are still there. Oh, and all of my 404 pages are web1000 search pages.
 
I used web1000 at one point, but after a little while my page was replaced with a porn 404, and at one point even their support forum was. Not reccomended.
 
Although I feel it may be neccessary for them to block Asian traffic, I don't think it's fair that Asian users would receive an Adult 404 ad instead of the site they were really trying to view.
What about underage kids that are trying to view sites hosted on Web1000, and instead they have inapropriate ads forced upon them.
That is really no good at all.
