Difference Between Free host and paid?

From my point of view Paid Hosting is the right choice to go with. They provide fully managed hosting packages and data security. While in case of free hosting, you do not get such assurance.
 
Well you have stated the biggest difference in your question already - it is that one doesn't require you to pay for it.

However, when choosing, all should notice that free hosting will never provide you as much resources as the paid one. It means that you will be able to do less activities with your server in general.

Another big diffference that everyone need to know is that in some cases some servers comes already with additional features, such as free domain registration, cPanel and etc. While free hosting might come all naked, without nothing and you will have to buy some software anyway.
 
As compared to free hosting, paid hosting is more reliable and good for a growing website. It is also advertisement free and provides access to your backups.
 
There are a number of difference between paid and free hosting services. In free hosting it is filled with advertisments, pop ups and also are having only limited number of features, where as paid services come with various unlimited of benificial features. Free service are preferable for only those who need a simple website can say only a single page website. That's why I suggest for paid one.

This isn't 1999. Hardware has come a long way - and bandwidth is CHEAP. The only time the bold would apply is if you either overfill your nodes to an insane level or if you're on a reseller plan.

Really? It all depends on the host itself. People judge free hosting because 000webhost and it's resellers made a huge scam. Taking sites for hostage lot's of ads when they said no ads on their page 99% downtime Super slow and claming they have cPanel when they have a ugly youhosting panel filled with ads! Most free hosts are not dodgy or filled with ads. Look around their is many good free web hosts.

Free web hosting is not such a bad idea if you are new to the Internet or have a fairly low budget, but it is essential that with any free web hosting service that you read the terms and conditions. Otherwise you may be missing out on some features that you were expecting and which could affect the overall functionality and appearance of your website.
