I just signed up.


I think theres many many many who just want free webspace just to host personal sites with no elaborate desires.


I must have observed thousands of free places open up and disappear.(usually with no notice)


If free can't survive its at least nice to see places that still offer free and paid.

What I find ANNOYING is the free and next day the place is making the free so misearable that people beg to start upgrading to new exciting premium plans.

Any place that is free is open to the crowds who want a free place to abuse things.(i.e.illegal stuff as long as they can get away with it)

The file size limits? All my desire would be is about 150k so at least a simple photo jpg can go there as many of such are over 100k.

As to adult I personally would like a free place to put a non-commercial adult content site. I found most places that offer free for adult within a short time have your site re-directed to theirs and your site gone.

A good person to contact might be the owner/operator of http://internettrash.com/ http://internetdump.com/ I know he got so fed up with some things he sort of closed the place down. Said---- can't imagine the problems you go through...spend your time answering fbi inquiries...
 
Well if he's using Pirited version of homefree he won't be around long. As for adult I don't host it on moral reasons. Nothing to do with bandwidth. This is the case with alot of other hosts.

As for FBI enquiries I have yet to have any still Would be fun to get a call from them. ;)

Whats this all about and how do u tell the difference between pirated/legal copy?

My hosting will not go down i have already paid for the server for a year and im not gonna just turn it off when i have already paid for it

You can store adult content if you wish

You do not have to tell us. We can contact solutionscripts to check it out. If you did purchase the script, then you and your site would be fine.

It would bother me since I am a non-porn webmaster, because when he inevitably resorts to placing ads on user pages, they're likely to be adult banners if he allows adult sites, and those wouldn't look good on a non-adult site.
 
You have paid for a year...? Please do inform me of which host you are using then. I am curious because You on Rackshack and you don't prepay for more than a month with them.

As for the pirited version of homefree I belive it was because You do not have the proper admin.cgi file which lists the proper solutionscript info. Alough this isn't vital usally when it says nulified version or anything like that its generaly warez. If you own a legal copy I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest, If you have a pirited version which You say you haven't then solutionscripts will have rackshack shut your server down. Still since your using your own copy your fine.

Very nice warez Homefree script! Just to let you all know, xCGI is an illegal CGI script provider. :rolleyes:

So, who's signing up for a "host" who provides "unlimited" space and bandwidth and uses warez scripts?
 
Well i have nothing to worry about then
The homefree i got from ss does not have nullified it says latest version 3.27 and some info about applet file
The mod for the admin says nulified
maybe the guy who made the mod had warez homefree?
or fow was the name of the guy who made the mod

I am still cusious how you paid for the server 1 year in advance.? I mean Rackshack doesn't do payments a year in advance they do monthly billing. Are you using a reseller of them ? You dns points to no on that count. Just curious how you could have paid a year in advance when rackshack doesn't do that.

I was wrong its not paid for a year in advance
I dont pay for the server myself someone else manages that

What he meant was he WILL pay for the server for another year at least

for old operating systems(from very first dos to winnt 3.5)

well microsoft no longer support these operating systems & there no longer for sale so i dont think its illegal
