All IP Based accounts have been created.

We are just going to do some testing and reviewing for the next few hours.

Emails are scheduled to go out later the afternoon on the 25th. This is based on a specific file that is needed...

By the end of the 25th all info will be sent. Our end will be completed on time in regards to this matter.

Once again, we wish all the best. Overall so no one asks, we want to make sure that our job was done right, so we will make sure everything is in order before we send out emails, which is why the delay.

Once emails are sent, you will be able to get into your account and get your files up....

Would there be any chance you could send me a private message with my account details?

I don't want to have to wait until tomorrow.

Just some queries now: My website is still showing the PLESK page that says hosting for the domain is not configured, where as some other sites are showing a "Placeholder" page for their domain.

If the account has been created, should it be showing the other page now? I'm just getting a little worried that maybe (somehow) my site was forgotten??? (http://toefur.com/ - the www. doesnt work on that, either).

We are just doing some testing on random accounts right now.

Unfortuannly we can not get you your info. We are waiting on a final document which is needed for our emails to be sent out.

As I mentioned before there is more involved then we may discuss.

When we start sending emails, Ill make sure that my techs get you your stuff and everyone elses asap.

Since you say that v5 plan will be ready tonight or soon, im in v2 plan, why till today i still havent recieve any mail from hostexp? do i lost somewhere else? i really need my account back, my client is complain about it, this is really bad man, and i try to login with the ip to plesk server, and login using my old user account information i recieved from hostexp when i just join valuablehost, its work, but this not i want, however i can access my account, but i do need my forum board back too, anyway... i dont know what you guys doing there, if you guys really cant do it for me, then ill do it for my self, pls. send me all my board files with their attr., then ill re upload it my self, izzit ok? my domain name is vinceast.com, you can contact me through vinceast83@hotmail.com or UIN 51377777, thanks...

I couldn't wait any longer, so yesterday I moved my site to another host and the site is up and running now. I am very disappointed in Vhost and the way Vhost communicates with its customers.

I wish you people all the best and hope for you that your sites will be online shortly. But to tell you the truth, I have many doubts about that.

Thanks for keeping us updated Joe - very appreciated.

The CGI problem (seems) to have subsided and hopefully will be non-existent when the site is on the new server.

This thread must have disheartened the people at VH a little but I will happily sing their praises if it's all sorted soon and I can get on track adding my 2nd site to them.

what can vhost do if i own an ecommerce site, hosted on their site, and losing potential customers? they're in serious trouble.

Update

Hello all...

Here is the latest update on the matter....

We have all name based and Ip based accounts created.

We will be sending all emails starting at 730pm CST

We are currently testing some things, and can not send email until our testing is done....

All emails will go out once. We have a list of everyones email and there info. It should take about 2 hours if not less for all emails to be sent. Please do not reply to any emails. If you have any problems contact your host.

Honestly, I dont want more space because I have than enough. The truth is, I'd prefer something that I can use. I mean, I dont have a million customers and so while that helps the business it doesnt help me. And frankly. a business gets hte amount they paid Vhost in profits whereas I do not.
Therefore I prefer get some sort of monetary compensation. Another 12-24 hours??? Im with someone who said days is more like it. I mean this has gone long enough.

Can I ask you something? You have to be honest to the rest of us. Have you been able to contact HostExp? He said that the files will be transfered over to the new server but I don't know if I would see my files there when I get the info tonight.

Can you tell us anything about this?
 
VHost continues to amaze me....that e-mail was so frickin stupid....first off he tries putting the blame on jbiz here who has done his job by implying that it was another company at fault.

I don't think my account details are going to help here. Thanks to joe, I have my login info and I've been able to upload my file. What I need is for VHOST TO DUMP MY FRICKIN DATABASE!!!!!! I have told him my DBname, DBuser, and DBpassword TWICE and he hasn't just dumped it.
 
curiousity,

your files WILL NOT be there. I got my details 2 days ago from Joe and had to upload all my files myself. Your database won't be there either, as VHost is holding them hostage right now and for the past 8 days.
 
i feel kind if stupid here...but what is the database for? I have all my web files and such, except for the cgi-bin files, which I cant find for some reason. So how can we upload our own files? I mean if that is the reason for the delay at least I can have access to moving my stuff in and therefore warn my users!!! I cant even ftp to upload a stupid index.htm file.
Can I at least do that?
 
You should be able to FTP to yourdomain.com with your username and password. Keep in mind that if you changed your password, then it will be reverted back to the original one VHost gave you.

Not everyone needs a database, but my site requires it, as nearly every page including the index.php requests data from the database.

All i can go into is that we have had no problems getting the information about the accounts from Vhost...

Thats all i may comment on. I also do not think vhost has blamed us for anything, but thanked us many times over..

i got in plesk cp, i added a webuser. i uploaded a file successfully. when i try to view it, my browser says 404. =(
 
ok i got it. it's supposed to be domain.com/~webuser but i thought it must me domain.com/webuser or webuser.domain.com how will i do it?
 
At least a lot of you are able to see your control panel and able to access your account. For us V-5 plan clients like myself, we have to wait until tonight to see anything.

My worst fear is that I will not see any files there. I was told that it will be transferred over to the new server so I will see if it is there. I will post it here for everyone to know if they at least keep this promise.
