How I am going to make 1 million dollars (USD)

Turning 18 a couple months ago, I finally made my first trip to the local Indian Reserve that happens to have a Casino.

I brought $40, bought an awesome Sherlock Holmes Coat from Goodwill and got some Cigars and awesome sunglasses.

Me and my buddy headed to the Casino...

I basically lost $40 but I woke up with the best idea ever the next morning...

I am pretty good at black jack, i can do some basic card counting etc...

I came up with an idea that already exists it is called "Doubling your bet"

Basically, you have to have a lot of funds to back yourself, but you bet something like 1% of what you've got and you keep doubling your previous bet until you win...leaving you with what you would have won on your first bet. You actually have odds over the house, as long as you have enough funds to back it.

your odds in black jack are slightly worse than 1 in 2 so here is what I plan on doing

Bringing in $200

Sitting at the table that probably has a $5 minumum and laying down $5

then $10
then $20
then $40
then $80

by now, I really hope I win or else I am screwed.

But if I do this all night I can slowly build up a decent amount of cash...and it doesn't end there.

If it works out right when I have $10,000 I can start at $100...meaning I can easily win $100 every single day, that is more than enough to make a living.

If I get a black jack (ace and a face card) right it pays 3 to 2 so I will get 1.5 times my original bet...even better.

Eventually I will have hundreds of thousands of dollars, My starting bets will probably max out at 1,000 when I am a millionaire, and I can just make $1,000 every day, or more if I feel like it...

YES! I never have to work in my life
I am a genius

I took a few friends to the casino once.
Not beeing 18 I didnt play, but they did.

One lost 10$
One lost 60$
and the last one lost 200$

They asked me to never take them to the casino again :p

Casinos have maximum and minimum bet limits to prevent this. So this idea will not work.

Anyway, you won't be winning much by playing this way.

Lets say the following happens:
Bet $5 - Lose
Bet $10 - Lose
Bet $20 - Lose
Bet $40 - Lose
Bet $80 - Win

You win $80, and lose $75.

Minimums locally are typically $10, and max's are usually $3,000

Also...

Bet $5 - Lose
Bet $10 - Lose
Bet $20 - Lose
Bet $40 - Lose
Bet $80 - Win AND GET MY $80 bet back putting me $5 above where I started

I tested my theory out with a casino game, I started with $1,000 I left the game with $1,305

My dad's making one of those system to do with horse races where you calculate the winners by examining the stats of the horse, their winning ratio, the distance of the track etc. He's been doing it for over a year...not confident in it enough yet. He's trying to work in the track conditions because they do seem to have an effect on the outcome of the race.

Hopefully it wont fail miserably. ;)

If there was any sure chance to win at a casino, they wouldn't exist anymore. They exist because more people leave with less money than they came in with than there people who come out with substantially more than they came in with.

The only safe way to bet money is to bet money you have no need for. Since that's not your case I suggest you keep it in your own pocket.

The world is filled with broke people who thought they were going to beat the odds.

All statements you said were true, but you are forgetting I am not beating the odds, I am putting them in my favor...

The odds of winning black jack are about 2 in 5

The Casino lives off of that, but there are things like card counting and doubling your bet that can put the odds in your favor.

Casino's in Vegas will realize this after you win a certain amount of cash, and you will in turn be listed in the Casino black book, which contains every fraud and person not allowed to go into Casinos, this is non-government related too.

Anyway the odds at blackjack have been beaten before...several times, there is a team of black jack players from MIT in Boston that flew to Vegas every weekend and won millions off of black jack, but no longer can enter the casinos...

Anyway, I believe it is possible. I have been testing it out playing black jack with friends and against my computer...I have turned out ahead everytime

i suggest you take that into account when you test this theory. its sounds more like your overcofindence is speaking rather than that of logic. i suggest you find another way of making money such is sadly that of hard work rather than simply gabbling.

are you just some random guy that h4x0rd into guitarnerd's account?

the guitarnerd i know would rather rant about gambling with linux and winning with windows :p

Actually this is a very good strategy. When I used to sell cell phones I worked with a Sprint representative who told me of the same strategy. He was big on casinos and played poker almost every night, but then he told me some of the schemes he had planned for winning big. This doubling your bet strategy was one of them.

Another plan he had for winning was with online poker. Have a few of your friends make 7 accounts (possibly using different IP's) and log into a table of 8. That way only 1 person there is a stranger. Now no matter what hand is dealt you pretty much know what the only stranger at the table has, thus you can find ways to rip him off royally until he quits or catches on.

That is a good idea with poker...another thing about it is that, the odds of the group winning is pretty significant over the singal person, so the 7 guys can pool the money the won off of the other guy

I am not at all over confident, this plan can work, I just need the funds and I need to start small, If I start small I can actually just start playing it based off of my winnings so there is no loss.

I am smart enough to know not to bring my ATM card into the casino

typically, it's too hard to beat the casino. when you start making more money than they want you to, the basically just kick you out. and that's why your plan will fail.

I will have to make a huge sum of money before they kick me out...and the local indian casinos are pretty dumb anyway, it is nothing like vegas

Why? Because a Sprint representative thinks it's a good idea?

The Martingale (double wager until a win) has been around a long time and it doesn't work due to betting limits on a table.

Damn it, I am just gonna learn to card count

Less helpful than you would think. It can only help you get a winning hand every so often, as it'll take you awhile to guess the deck.
