ron paul does not accept evoloution.

I am CatholiChristiMorman if that makes sense. I don't fit in at any of them but believe in most of the ideas that they all present.

Don't try to fit in with a religion because you feel you should, if a religion represents *Some* of your views but not all of them don't associate yourself with them. The churches over here have a habit of protecting pedophiles, and therefore I refuse to associate with any of them.

I'm uk based. The issue is the the job role of priests can sometimes attract people who are... not suitable for the job. This working on the "last place they'd look" principle. When the priest is finally found out the churches simply move them to a different area, thus simple providing them with new targets. This isn't just a one off, they keep on doing it.

ron paul is a christian fundementalist with a libertarian streak. a vote for ron paul is a vote for social conservatism. he is against gay rights, a womans right to choose and thinks that laws on sodomy should be left up to the state. he wants to end federal funding for education on all levels and give the states the choice of even having public education. education is the cornerstone to freedom and ron paul thinks that people with money deserve it more than the poor. he is also a doctor that dismisses evolution.

not only does he want to appease the islam fascists by pulling out of iraq and afghanistan, he wants to pull out of the middle-east completely. basically he's just another blame-america first candidate who thinks by covering our eyes and ears the terrorists will leave us alone. He's more dangerous to the security of this country than any other candidate, republican or democrat.

^^ What's great about Ron Paul? He's a true Libertarian, who believes in getting the U.S. government out of citizen's business. If he were president, we'd see things like abolishment of the IRS (though not necessarily the income tax), repeal of Sarbox, the Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind, and other outrageous, useless acts put into place by the current administration.

In a word, if Ron Paul were president, America would be a free country again. :)

Ron Paul will destroy this country if he is president.

He is against seperation of Church and State:
from: http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul148.html
The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs. Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government’s hostility to religion. The establishment clause of the First Amendment was simply intended to forbid the creation of an official state church like the Church of England, not to drive religion out of public life.

He is violently pro-life
from: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?r110:2:./temp/~r110cl08tD::
One of the bills I am introducing today, the Sanctity of Life Act of 2005, reverses some of the damage done by Roe v. Wade. The Sanctity of Life Act provides that the federal courts of the United States, up to and including the Supreme Court, do not have jurisdiction to hear abortion-related cases. Congress must use the authority granted to it in Article 3, Section 1 of the Constitution to rein in rogue federal judges from interfering with a state's ability to protect unborn life.

Is against the born in USA = Citizen of USA
from: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?r110:1:./temp/~r110Ktejoz::
This proposed constitutional amendment restores the concept of American citizenship to that of our Founders. This legislation simply states that no child born in the United States whose mother and father do not possess citizenship or owe permanent allegiance to the United States shall be a citizen of the United States. It is essential to the future of our constitutional republic that citizenship be something of value, something to be cherished. It
cannot be viewed as merely an express train into the welfare state. I hope my colleagues will join me as cosponsors of this legislation.

Bills he had proposed that make me not want to vote for him:

These are both laws to make flag burning illegal.
H.J.RES.80
H.J.RES.82

These are to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970
H.R.2310
H.R.13264

He would like to make it much easier to decertify labor unions
H.R.694

Repeal the minimum wage
H.R.2962
Deny the prevailing wage to employees of federal contractors, and remove prohibition on kickbacks in Federal projects
H.R.736

Now we have this gem. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you HR 7955.
Full Details: Here

Some of my favorite parts of that particular bill:
Abolishes the Department of Education and nullifies all regulations, contracts, licenses, or privileges issued by such Department prior to the effective date of this Act. Directs the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to provide for the orderly termination of the affairs of such Department.
Prohibits the Federal Government from imposing any obligation or conditions upon any child care center, orphanage, foster home, emergency shelter for abused children or spouses, school, juvenile delinquency or drug abuse treatment center or home, or similar program which is operated by a church or religious institution
Prohibits Federal preemption of State laws relating to child or spousal abuse, or juvenile delinquency. Prohibits the expenditure of Federal funds for the operation of any programs dealing with such problems.
Prohibits the expenditure of Federal funds to any organization which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style.

Also wants to put America back on the gold standard. This is the most insane idea ever.

Here are some reasons not to use the gold standard.

Why would Ron Paul want the Gold Standard back? Let take a look at his personal financial disclosures shall we?

All taken from here, and that's just 2005 information.

All in all, don't vote for Ron Paul. He's just as crooked as the rest.

ill agree/disagree with you here.

Yes his opinions on those things are pretty bad and thats a damn good reason for not voting for him, but at the same time iraq is a bloody mess that we shouldn't have got involved in the first place with. (we got involved too:S). Why is this happening while Pakistan is supported? The lady who was fighting for democracy gets assassinated and the US send in troops to support the dictator behind it?

What the hell is wrong with him? No public schooling? Rich people deserve it more than poor people? Why should the kids have to pay for their parent's inability to get to the top/bad choices? Public school is given so those people who are rich and poor alike can get an education. The education system shouldn't be taken out, it should be vastly improved apon!

Sounds like he is almost worse than BUSH! And thats saying something!

*stays away from Ron Paul*

What do they think they can just waltz into Washington and expect to get voted in because they have screwed up minds? There should be something against allowing mental people to run for president.

Oh boy, this thread contains so much wrong and twisted information that I don't even have the energy to correct it. I'll just say that Ron Paul is a libertarian and a Constitutionalist - not a socialist.

ron paul is not a libertarian.

i have no energy to prove this statement....

if you believe in something, make your voice heard whatever the opinion is.

to be fair, mine sounds like something you'd read on the back of a zine some dude made you take at a bad religion show :p

you posted this on digg, the biggest collective of ron paul fanboys on the internet? :eek3:

;)

should have thought that one through really:p

I'm sitting pretty on 3 diggs. lets see:

Ron paul fox debate suggestions [6 diggs]
Myspace.com to become PAULSPACE! [10 diggs]
WoW' Gamers Plan In-Game Ron Paul Rally [13 digs]
Fox News is scared of Ron Paul [19 diggs]

all added at roughly the same time as me.

Robert: If you don't speak who will speak for you? I'd like to think not everyones close minded here, and open enough to listen to all sides of the argument.

Rather than believe everything people say in a forum, why not do your own research and find out exactly where Ron Paul stance?

Like I said, he is a Libertarian and a Consitutionalist, if you knew what those meant, you would partially understand his stances - the other part would require you to actually research.
