ron paul does not accept evoloution.

when I have time I will probably look into it. However seeing anything you say will be in defense for him so will be good. Others against him will only talk about things against him so all of the facts are never really there.

Rather than believe everything people say in a forum, why not do your own research and find out exactly where Ron Paul stance?

I did my research, and I posted my findings.

I understand that it's hard to support an anti-gay, anti-education, anti-abortion, totally insane man, but you've got to put in a little more effort as you are doing a terrible job right now.

fox [news] is a whole different kettle of fish that is a hideous hideous corporation.

I'm not saying its not, Mr Rupert Murdoch has his tentacles over here too and is doing a wonderful job of sowing the seeds of fear. Its the typical asylum seeker bashing speel, the difference being unlike other places our economy is actually held together by asylum seekers, so unlike other places the arguments not relevant.

Ouuch That hurts

It's always sad to threads that start out in a somewhat rational manner overtaken by fanatical idiots.

Nice.

I think this thread is taking a turn for the worse and I don't want to contribute to it.

I'll leave it at that.

come on guys, thestealthy one has a point, as does Daisil, politics does always get heated (particularly when crossed with religion;)) its what people believe and no-one likes being told their an idiot. Any chance of returning to a mature exchange of opinions or is this thread past that point?

People should really find out all the facts about a candidate before jumping on a bandwagon or going with what their community and culture mostly go for. It makes me sad, but moreso terrified, that the next leader of the most powerful country in the world can be elected for four years just because the American public can't make their decisions on their own.

I don't even want to think about what he would do. I do know there would be a lot of deleted threads, warnings, infractions and that's just with Giancarlo.

NO BUT YOU ARE WRONG AND I AM RIGHT I COME FROM A MILITARY BACKGROUND

I've always thought their should be a none of the above option on voting then make voting mandatory. Have a sheet layed out in front of people with what the candidates stand for and let them vote.

If none of the above wins then the election is postponed and reheld later.

that way people have to make up their mind.

EDIT: just for ----s and giggles I searched giancarlo on this forum, now that gave me a laugh or two.

In theory, that would be ideal (other than the fact we'd have George ----ing Bush in presidency for longer if NOTA wins), but in practice I'm sure it'd fail majorly.

edit: for reasons of major fail read next two posts (NetMaster & notnamed)

If we're talking idealic here, I'd split the states of America into completely independant countries. That way if, for example, Texas ----ed up, it wouldn't ---- up the rest of the world.

just when i thought you were talking sense! having that kind of system would just be flawed beyond belief. what do you want the paper to say?

candidate a
*supports gay rights
*supports abortion
*for more, please vote!

candidate b
*hates gays
*anti-abortion
*for more, please vote!

there would be complaints from all ends of the spectrum. people should be smart enough to research there vote. ---- having it handed to you on a piece of paper in cliff notes. if i am going to vote for someone, some might argue that my vote doesnt mean ---- and hey, it probably doesnt but i will make damn sure i research what i am voting for before i put my name behind something.

What?? :confused2 People who don't have their mind made up just don't go and vote. There would be no point in wasting time standing in line and figuring out the stupid touchscreen computer system that they've changed again this year just to choose "I dunno yet, let's do this again later."

ok, maybe the situations different for you guys, I guess one solution does not fit all.

but over here the (vast minority) of middle class have the power, Mr Murdoch and his cronies have control of the media, this means that the supposedly workers party (Labour) has shifted to the right! And the left wing part (Lib dems) has been left high and dry. If everyone voted then the parties would stay in their places and politics would work. The majority working class is dissalusioned and doesn't vote, this means that the right wingers have pushed through things that suit them, our healthcare and education are being pushed to the private sector.

I'll say now I'm an idealist, I acknowledge many fantastic principle (I firmly believe in the concept of communism) don't work out in real life.

our country is in a ----ing mess as well. we have a prime minister that well, lets face, is a complete moron. we didnt even get a vote to decide if we wanted him. it was more or less:

tony blair: bai!
gordon brown: hi guys!

hello at paying 14% more for travel come 01/01 but well, i think we can blame redken for that.

well said. Tony blair was more interested in securing his place in the history books than paying attention to the interests of the country.
