When the earth was created, it was uninhabitable. There was no water, and lava was spewing everywhere. If I'm not mistaken, there was no oxygen -- only carbon dioxide. After several thousand years, life started appearing -- first in the water and then on land. When humans first came into existence, Iraq had some of the most fertile land on earth (Mesopotamia). But who knows if that was true when the dinosaurs were around? Also, you have to remember that there is a lot of evidence in support of the "Pangaea" theory -- that all the continents were once one large continent. So it would have been easy for dinosaurs and other living creatures to migrate from place to place.
