novaservers.com ?

Considering the fact that it's a ripped namezero domain hiding a DHS.org domain, my guess is that it's some guy running a host off his DSL/CABLE/T1 with an extra PC or his PC at his house.
 
They didn't mention anything about not being able to host porn sites in their TOS... this scares me. I wouldn't want my site to be hosted with that kind of FWP.

Hmm...Well...I don't want to make any enemies here, but if i would even consider trusting my production website to a win32 system, is that it runs NT/W2K and apache.

I have tried quite a few, Ominhttpd, sambar, apache + a few more found at tucows, and i like the simplicity of omnihttpd, but the reliability of apache, for my dev-plattform on win98.

I wont even use my dsl-connected linux server with other then my dev-site.

But...
That's just my 2-cents for the thread.

Novaservers.com Has not been down, it is extremly reliable.. It is ran off of a 833mhz Windows 2000 Advanced Server..(extremly stable) I have 50 happy clients not one of them has complained... Get the facts before you start Complaining...

MrHoax - I think your the last person to be giving advice on domains.

Nova - It doesnt seem right that you can afford to pay the bandwidth (or your net conection fee in this case) and not afford a real domain.

I don't have anything against what your doing but buy a real domain. If your going todo a fwp do it right.

technics:: i would of bought my own domain if i had a PO box, a long time ago :)

i am going to get one soon

How did you get the server and the connection in that case?

If you want to provide quality services, you will need to put some money in sooner or later. You have just told everyone here that your FWP is not financially stable. Not a good way to gain the trust of future clients. What about when you need new hardware? "Oh, can't afford it. Bye bye Novaservers."

Why do you need a PO Box to purchase a domain??? I've purchased several without one.

Home addresses cannot be traced through post office boxes. Which is why most people use them on the 'net.

Windows Millenium Edition has proven to be very stable so far... Also Windows NT 4.0 has always been rock solid. :)
